Would you like to join our fabulous team?
Balanced is expanding and looking to welcome aligned clinicians into our team, supporting individuals and families with complex mental health needs. We would love to hear from Psychologists/Clinical Psychologists with interest and experience in the treatment of presentations including anxiety/depression, trauma, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive conditions, and neurodiversity.
We can offer you:
- A salaried role with superannuation and paid leave. Number of working days is negotiable on application.
- We are a values-based organisation, recognising the importance of inclusivity, evidence-based practices, and social justice. We also value self-care and support our team to achieve a work-life balance. We can offer some flexibility with working hours.
- We have a down-to-earth team who prioritise having lunch together during our workday (sometimes even breakfast) and enjoy the occasional social event outside of hours too
- Our practice is set within a beautiful, homely setting, with a cosy waiting room to welcome clients (includes a fireplace!), a shared dining space overlooking our garden, and thoughtful provisions in the rooms (e.g. sensory fidgets, weighted blankets).
- Client load is capped at a maximum of five per day, allowing ample opportunity to complete clinical administrative tasks
- Support to tailor your specific interest areas within your caseload
- Multiple inclusions such as internal group supervision and access to additional supervision with Senior Psychologists, in-house professional development opportunities, and resource sharing.
- For the right person, support towards clinical endorsement may be considered (if applicable).
Do you have interest or experience in working with eating disorders?
Balanced has developed a niche reputation in Tasmania as a leading provider of eating disorder treatment. Many of our clinicians are Eating Disorder Credentialed Clinicians and members of the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders. Our practice offers a supportive space to further your understanding of eating disorders and eating disorder-specific therapies. We offer internal supervision and professional development opportunities specific to this area.
We would be interested in hearing from clinicians who are trained in eating disorder specific therapies (e.g. CBT-E, FBT) and work from a non-diet Health at Every Size perspective, or have a willingness to obtain these specific skills.
